(Resolved) Issues with Downloading Proof Comment Attachments

Problem

For files that can be opened in the browser such as JPG, PNG, PDF: When attempting to download a comment attachment, the attachment is opened in the browser window, navigating the users away from the Proof Viewer window.

For files that cannot be opened in the browser: When attempting to download a comment attachment, the attachment is downloaded with a randomly generated name and without the file extension, which causes issues when opening the file.

Workaround

For files that can be opened in the browser such as JPG, PNG, PDF: After the attachment file opens in the browser window, right-click on the image and select "Save As..." to save the file to your machine.

For files that cannot be opened in the browser: Once the file is saved, rename the file and add the extension as per the file name in the comment inside the Proof Viewer.

Status

This cause of this issue has been found and a fix has been put in place to address the behaviour. The attachments can now be downloaded without issues.
