Single Sign-On overview

Introduction to SAML 2.0

Security Assertion Markup Language 2.0 (SAML 2.0) is an XML-based protocol that allows you to authorize data and exchange authentication between an identity provider and a web service.

We use this protocol to provide our Enterprise clients the Single Sign-On (SSO) capability that allows you to use your existing organization's username and password to access your Workfront Proof account.

It means that you will not authenticate against Workfront Proof's log in page, but you will actually authenticate against your own log in system.

Please note that you must have a custom sub-domain or domain set up on your Workfront Proof account to enable SAML:

  • Custom sub-domains are free to set up, please see our Branded domains help page for more information.
  • You can read more about fully customized domains on our Advanced branding help page.

Please also see the Single Sign-On help page in Account settings to find out how to set up SSO on your account.
