Setting Deadlines for a Proof

When creating a new proof, you can set a deadline to indicate when you want reviewers to finish their work on it or on a certain stage in the proof. For information about creating a proof, see "Creating Proofs in Workfront Proof." For information about stages, see "Understanding Stages."

Setting a Deadline as You Create a Proof

  1. Begin creating a proof.
For information about creating a proof in Workfront, see "Generating Proofs in Workfront."
For information about creating a proof in the standalone Workfront Proof, see "Generating Proofs in Workfront Proof."
  2. On the New proof page, in the Workflow section, click Set proof deadline.
  3. In the box that appears, select the day and time by which people need to review the proof.
  4. To save the deadline, click outside the deadline box.

Adding, Editing, or Deleting a Deadline for an Existing Stage

You can add a deadline for an existing stage on a proof.

For information about stages, see "Understanding Stages."

  1. In Workfront, hover over the proof, then click Proof details to open the Proof details page.
Or, in the standalone Workfront Proof, click the More (three dot) menu to the right of the proof, then click View proof details.
  2. On the Proof details page, under Workflow, in the stage where you want a deadline, do one of the following:
    • If you are adding the deadline to the stage for the first time, double-click No deadline, then specify a date and time for the deadline.
    • If you are editing an existing deadline for a stage, double-click the date and time in the upper-right corner of the stage, then specify a date and time for the deadline.
    • If you are deleting an existing deadline for a stage, double-click the date and time in the upper-right corner of the stage, then click Clear at the bottom of the Calendar box that appears.
  3. To save your change, click outside the deadline box.
  4. In the prompt that appears, specify whether you want to send an email alert to reviewers.

Setting Individual Reviewer Deadlines

You can set different deadlines for different reviewers on a proof you have already created. This requires creating a separate stage for each reviewer for whom you want to set an individual deadline.

  1. In Workfront, hover over the proof, then click Proof details to open the Proof details page.
Or, in the standalone Workfront Proof, click the More (three dot) menu to the right of the proof, then click View proof details.
  2. On the Proof details page, under Workflow, click New stage.

  4. Repeat step 4 as needed to add any other reviewers who need their own deadline.

Removing Individual Reviewer Deadlines
