Communicating with Users on Your Project

Whether your project team is made up of a hundred people or only fifteen, you can easily communicate with team members through Workfront.

Sending an Email to a Project Team Member

  1. From the Project landing page, click the More drop-down menu, select Staffing, then click the People link on the Staffing tab.

  2. Hover your mouse over the name of the person you want to email.

  3.  Click the email link to open the email form, then compose and send your email.

Sending Updates to Project Team Members and Others

You can send project updates to team members and to other users inside and outside your company. The update is sent as a notification in Workfront.

  1. From the Project landing page, click the More drop-down menu, select Staffingthen click the People link on the Staffing tab.

  2. (Conditional) Click the checkbox for each team member that you want to send an update to, then click Update.
    Or
    Click the checkbox next to Name to select all team members, then click Update.

  3. Type your message in the Update text box.
  4. (Optional) To make the update private, click the Lock icon.
    Users outside the company cannot view a private update.
  5. (Optional) You can add a user who is not assigned to the team by clicking in the receiver typeahead box, begin typing the user’s name, then select the user from the popup list.
  6. Click Send.
