Resetting Your Password

We recommend resetting your password regularly, for security reasons. 

All users can reset their own password. Depending on password configurations set by your system administrator, you might experience the following limitations when resetting your password:

  • You cannot use the same password you have previously used.
  • Passwords must contain 2 or 3 different types of characters

System administrators can configure password restrictions, as described in "Configuring Password Policies for Authentication."

To reset your password in Workfront:

  1. Click your avatar in the upper-right corner of the Global Navigation Bar.
  2. Click My Settings.
  3. In the Personal Info section, click Reset Password.

    If your organization has integrated Workfront with and SSO solution, you may be routed to reset your passwords through your SSO system when you click Reset Password. This resets your SSO password which affects logging in to all your other applications inside your organization. 

  4. Specify the following information:
    Old Password: Your old password.
    New Password: Your new password.
    Confirm New Password: Your new password to confirm.
    Your password must be at least 8 characters and contain two of the following types of characters:
    - Letters
    - Numbers
    - Special Characters (i.e. ! @ # $ % etc.)
    (Password rules might be more strict, depending on configuration settings set by your system administrator. For information about how system administrators can configure password restrictions, see "Configuring System Security Preferences."

  5. Click Save Changes.
