Outlook Items Disappear but Folder Count Shows Items

Users say they had items in Outlook that they "moved" to the Workfront folder and they are now missing.

First Do NOT drag -n- drop messages into one of the Workfront folders:
    Workfront
        Requests
        Work Request
        Working On
If you do and the Workfront Add-in is not enabled, the item you moved will be “hidden” in the Outlook folder and not show in Workfront. You will not be able to see this item, except the Number in (3) parenthesis next to the Folder will increment.  In fact the Workfront folder may have two sets of parenthesis (3)(7)
each a different color.

For example:
Color Coded Folder (3) (7) numbers
 1.    If you see Workfront folders with 2 sets of numbers
 2.    Black (3) are Workfront items
 3.    Blue (7) are Outlook Items.
 4.    You should NOT have any blue Outlook Items.
If you have 2 sets of (3) (7), this means you dropped an Outlook message into the Workfront folder while the Workfront add-in was disabled.
If you attempt to drop an email into the Workfront folders when the Workfront Add-in IS enabled you will receive the following Warning:

Workfront: Warning - You cannot drop emails to this folder

To see these Hidden items.
 1.    While the Workfront Add-on is disabled.
 2.    Right click the Folder > Properties > Home Page tab > Uncheck “Show home page by default for this folder”
 3.    Apply, or OK
 4.    You will now be able to see the Mail item you moved into this folder.  Move the mail message to an Outlook folder or delete it, etc.
 5.    Repeat steps 1 & 2 and re-check “Show home page...” etc
