Updating Work Items in the Calendar View

The information on this page refers to functionality not yet generally available. It is available only in the Preview Sandbox environment.

From the Home Calendar view, you can make updates to work items that display in your Work List or that are scheduled on your calendar. Any updates you make in the Calendar view are added to the Updates tab of the actual work item.

  1. Navigate to the Home Calendar view.
    For information about accessing the Home Calendar view, see "Viewing the Workfront Home Calendar."

    All the work items assigned to you or assigned to groups, teams, or roles to which you are assigned display in the left panel. Your calendar displays in the right panel. Only you can view and manage your Home Calendar.

  2. Open the Details panel for the work item you want to update.
    You can open the Details panel for an item either from the left panel or from a scheduled event in the calendar.
    • From the left panel: Select the work item, then click Details.
    • From the calendar: Click the scheduled calendar event.

  3. In the Type an update field, specify your update.

  4. (Optional) Specify any of the following information:
    Notify: Begin typing the name of the user or team you want to include in the update, then click the name when it appears in the drop-down list. For more information about tagging others in an update, see "Including Others on Updates."
    Commit Date: In the date picker, select the date that you commit to complete the work item.
    Condition: Select a new condition for the task or issue. For more information about task and issue conditions, see "Setting Conditions on Tasks and Issues."
    Status: Select a new status for the task or issue. For more information about task statuses, see "Updating Task Status." For more information about issue statuses, see "Understanding Issue Statuses."
    Completion Bar: Indicate the percentage of work completed by sliding the progress bar to the desired percentage. You can also double-click the completion bar, and then enter the percent complete.
    Private to my company: Disable to prevent users outside your company from being able to view this update.
  5. Click Update.
  6. (Optional) To close the Details panel, click anywhere outside of the Details panel.
