Using the Workfront Default Mail Service to Comment on Work Items

As a system administrator, you can set up the default email service to allow recipients of Workfront email notifications to make comments on objects without logging in to Workfront.
For more information about replying to comments via email, see "Allowing Users to Reply to Email Notifications."

NOTE Plus addressing (such as yourname+organization@organization.com) is not supported for users commenting on Workfront objects via email.

To configure the Workfront default mail service:

  1. Go to the Setup area in the Global Navigation Bar.
  2. Click Email > Setup.
  3. In the Incoming Mail section, select Workfront Default Mail Service.
  4. Click Save.
    The user's email account is now set up.
